RE: I have had it with my generac generator!!
Well today I drove my trailer down to the dealer 60 miles away. I told the service manager my issue. I told him im demanding an onan. He put that down on the work order and then suggested I too call the manufacture Eclipes, and let them know what I want them to do. I told the service guy that I shouldnt have to do that and that I paid a lot of money for this trailer and I have already been stranded 3 times with my generator failure. I got home and called the guy at Eclipes and he said no, you wont get an onan. He said maybe a replacement Gernerac. We exchanged a few words and I finaly told him I have all documentation and pictures and video of all my issues with my Gernerac and if I have to go the legal route than thats the route I will go. He said he would make a few phone calls and call me back but of course its now 6pm and he hasnt called back. I will fill you in with details as I get them.

What kind of warranty does Onan have? Generacs have 3 year.

I again started up the generator in my driveway today and it ran for about 20 mins with no load and then shut itself down. The first time I took it in to service center they replaced the oil temp sensor. The second time I took it in they said oil presure was low so they replaced the motor. They ran it for a couple hours with the ac on and it ran fine. I was satisfied. Well my last trip is when it shut down again. I made appt with dealer for this Thursday and I will demand a new unit! Thanks for the help.

I have had it with my generac generator!!
My Generac generator in my new toy hauler has not ran properly since I bought the trailer brand new 8 months ago. At first I didnt take trailer back to dealer because of distance but instead found a generac repair place and they switched the oil temp switch and it ran perfect after that at home for a short while. Than I ran it agian at home a few weeks later and again it shut down. I took it back to the same Repair warranty center and they replaced the motor. Well, my first trip dry camping this last weekend and I started it up and as soon as I put a load on it with the ac it sputtered and shut down and wouldnt start. I called the dealer and they said bring it in. My warr with the dealer expires in Nov so im hoping they get it fixed right this time.
I should demand they replace the whole thing with a new one? I only have 38 hours on it.

I have 08 21AK Attitude. What a great trailer! No issues at all and its coming up on one full year of owning it. Everything is solid.
I almost bought a WW but glad I didnt. Plus the salesman seemed like he was just paroled from prison.

We love lone pine and big pine, I asked nicely at the Visitor Center just south of town and they allowed me to fill up with water. Have a great trip!
Thanks a ton for the info. That was my next issue. Hopefully we catch some fish.

Thanks again for all the help. I have decided that we will go to tuttle creek BLM campground in Lone Pine. Fishing has been excellent from what I have heard.

Where to camp in Bishop Ca>
We want to take our trailer up to Bishop for a few days of fishing. Can anyone tell me where would be a good campground thats cheap either full hook ups or just water and power. I would even take a dry campground I would just need a place to get water. We usually go to June Lake Loop but a shorter trip we dont want to go that far.

No major trips for us this year so far. Skipped our annual trip to the Sierras. We did make several weekend trips to beach and had a blast. Will be heading back to desert for some riding when the weather cools down. Starting to plan our big Thanksgiving desert trip. Cant wait for that one.

Another rubber roof question on 08 Attitude
I called Eclipse to ask what they recommend to maintain my rubber roof and they said just wash it, no uv stuff ever needed because its already treated by the factory. This does not sound right. What do others do to maintain rubber roof? and how and what do you use to wash it?

We are also clean freaks. When I get bored, I go out and wax an area of the trailer. Clorox wipes for inside. I wash the rubber roof before and after each trip. I want it to stay looking nice.

I see what you are saying Troll3193. It just seems like people spend soooo much time on the forum, hours a day. I love this forum and I have had a lot of questions answered by knowledgble members. I also think its kind of funny though how if you brake a forum rule someone will have a brain hemorrhage and yell at you if you break one like type in caplocks. Great forum and again I have learned a lot here.
